Miramar Beach, Fla— A woman steals more than $2100 worth of clothes from multiple outlet stores in Walton County over the weekend, but leaves behind a valuable piece of evidence linking the thefts back to her – a cellphone.
A WCSO deputy responded to Silver Sands Outlets in Miramar Beach around 2PM Friday where an employee at Ann Taylor had discovered several security tags in a dressing room that had been removed from merchandise. Along with the tags was a cell phone left by the suspect.
After finding the cell phone the deputy was able to make contact with the suspect’s husband and get a description of the vehicle she was driving.
The deputy spotted the vehicle in the parking lot of Silver Sands near the location of the thefts being driven by Brooke Amber Sutton, 27. Inside her vehicle deputies discovered six pairs of designer jeans totaling more than $1000 stolen from Saks 5th Avenue and approximately $1100 worth of costume jewelry and clothing stolen from Ann Taylor.
