Shots Fired Call Lands one in Jail

On 06/29/2016 Patrol Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of East Newton Street in reference to shots fired. It was determined that the suspect drove by the victim’s residence and fired several shots from a moving vehicle. Investigators identified, located, and arrested the suspect.
25 year old Dimitri Antonio Wright, of Sanders Road Kinsey, has been charged with Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied Dwelling and Discharging a Firearm into an Unoccupied Vehicle. The suspect and victim have an ongoing altercation and this was not an random act. Bond has been set at $45,000.
Investigators were assisted by the U.S. Marshal’s Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force. All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
