ROY POST – A single-vehicle crash today, Oct. 8, claimed the life of a Brundidge woman and injured another. Ravean Keyierra Brundidge, 26, was killed when the 2001 Nissan Maxima she was driving left the roadway and overturned. Brundidge, who was not using a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger in the Maxima was transported to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries. The crash occurred at 1:30 a.m. on Pike County 5534 three miles west of Brundidge. The preliminary investigation indicates speed may have been a factor in the crash. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
