Single Vehicle Accident claimed the life of a Clopton man

DOTHAN POST – A single-vehicle crash today, Oct. 8, claimed the life of a Clopton man and injured three others. Kenneth Wayne Kelley, 48, was killed when the 2007 Ford Crown Victoria he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree.  Kelley, who was not using a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene by Henry County Coroner Derek Wright. The crash occurred at 2:50 a.m. on Henry County 54 12 miles west of Abbeville.  The preliminary investigation indicates speed and alcohol might have been a factor in the crash.  Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
