Single Vehicle Accident Claimed the Life of a Luverne Man

DOTHAN POST – A single-vehicle crash Sunday, Oct. 23, has claimed the life of a Luverne man.  James Oyan Wingard, 40, was killed when the 2009 Chevrolet Malibu he was driving left the roadway, struck a sign, and overturned. Wingard, who was not using a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred on Rising Star Road five miles north of Petrey. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
