Single Vehicle Claims the Life of a Brantley Teen

DOTHAN POST – A single-vehicle crash at 2 a.m. today, May 3,  has claimed the life of a Brantley teen.  Griffin Carter Jones, 18, was killed when the 2010 Dodge Charger he was driving left the roadway, struck two utility poles and several trees before catching fire.  Jones, who was not using a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.  The crash occurred on Alabama 87 four miles north of Zion Chapel.  Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
