Single Vehicle Crash Claims a Life in Dothan

Dothan Al - Last night Dothan Police responded to a report of a car running off the road in the area of the Circle and Columbia Hwy. First reports were the car had ran off the road and was near the railroad tracks. A search for the vehicle in the area were it was reported to have ran off the road came up empty.

It's reported that some four hours later a worker with CSX Railroad found the vehicle. It wasn't where it was first reported to have been. It appears the vehicle ran off the road and fell approximately 80 feet from the road and landed nose first between bridges. Reports are the driver was killed on impact. The driver has been identified as 80 year old Mildred Maddox of Dothan.
