Houston County: This morning around 1:32 am units from the Southern Junction Fire Department and Rehobeth Rescue responded to a report of a vehicle vs deer in the 5200 block of South State Hwy 109. When units arrived on the scene they found it was not a deer but a horse that had been hit and it was killed. The vehicle received extensive damage and the driver was not taken to the hospital by ambulance. Houston county Sheriff’s Officer responded to help with traffic control. The wreck is under investigation by the Alabama State Troopers.
