Skipperville Man Arrested on Several Charges

On January 25 a Dale County Deputy attempted a traffic stop on a motorcycle on Hwy 105 near Ozark. The deputy attempted to initiate  the stop after the vehicle made a  an improper turn and failed to display proper registration. The vehicle refused to stop and a pursuit ensued with speeds in excess of 100mph. The pursuit travelled out Hwy 105 towards Skipperville. The vehicle appeared to experience a mechanical malfunction as it turned onto Mary McClendon Rd. The deputy was able to apprehend the driver without further incident.  Johnny Whigham was arrested and charged with (2) counts of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine & Synthetic Marihuana), Attempting to Elude and a probation violation out of Louisiana. He is being held in the Dale County Jail under no bond.
