Sneads Man Charged with Burglary of Structure with Battery

      On October 5th, 2014 at approximately 7:18 a.m., officers with the Marianna Police Department responded to a report of a subject who unlawfully entered a residence on Deering Street and committed battery on his wife. Upon arrival contact was made with the victim of the battery who was spending the night with a friend at the residence. It was determined that Charles Bruton did unlawfully enter the residence and committed battery on his wife who is currently separated from Charles Bruton. A short time later Bruton arrived at the Marianna Police Department and was placed under arrest for the above listed charge. Charles Bruton was processed and later transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility where he will await first appearance.
