ABBEVILLE:     The citizens of Abbeville deserve so much better for an Abbeville City Council. But they are stuck with such council members as Brendt Murphy, Terry Allums and Eddie Jones.


These 3 stooges messed it up once and bound to do it all over again.


Tonight was to be the vote for Police Chief of Abbeville. The council is on a stand off. Mayor Giganti, Council Members Betty Yoder and Billy Helms voted against the three stooges choice which is Kevin Wright.


Wright is acting Chief. Giganti, Yoder and Helms want Noel Vanlandingham. The three stooges want Wright.


However Wright did not turn in his application until 19 days after the deadline to apply. The Alabam League of Municipalities urged the council not to accept Wright's application because of it being late. The three stooges had rather place the Abbeville residents at financial risk.


Stooge Council Member Allums attempted to get Giganti's vote not to count. The council is at a deadlock.


The council will try it again on July 20. Attorney Spence Danzey will check the legality of the Mayor's vote for Stooge Allums.


The citizens of Abbeville, sorry you have to deal with these 3. Hopefully they will not break you!!!
