Dothan: As you recall a Ashford man serving in the military and stationed in Hawaii was shot and killed after he rammed several police cars. Gregory Gordon, 22, was killed after a high-speed chase through a busy area of Waikiki. Several news outlets report that three officers were injured during the chase.
Gordon was a member of the U.S. Army assigned to the 25th Infantry Division. It’s not known how long he had served in the military though it could not have been for an extended period of time based on his age.
Last night the Patriot Guard Riders escorted the body to Ward Wilson Funeral Home. Family watched as the Patriot Guard Riders removed the casket from the hearse and other guard riders stood at attention and saluted the fallen soldier.
The funeral for Gordon will be held this Sunday at the Ashford High School.
