Son of Statler Brothers singer dies in Nags Head beach accident

STAUNTON — Greg Balsley, 49, of Staunton died in a beach accident Wednesday in Nags Head, North Carolina, according to a press release sent by Fire Chief Kevin Zorc.

Balsley died at the Outer Banks Hospital after being pulled from the water on June 20.

Balsley is the son of Phil Balsley, of the Statler Brothers.
