The fine folks at the Southeast Alabama CARES and Animal Rescue are a non-profit organization that helps the ones who can’t help themselves.

According to CEO Dewitt Dawkins; they are here to help when things get tough the animals shouldn’t have to suffer. Just today the organization rescue four horses on Cottonwood Road. Dawkins stated he can’t fully blame the owners for the health of the horses; Times are hard money is tight.  

However if some has Horses, Dogs or Cats that they can’t  afford to take care of, call Dewitt and see if he and his staff can help. They had rather help save and adopt the animal then have to have them putt down.
