DOTHAN: On Wednesday evening Dr. Jerry Spencer will be in the final night of revival at Southside Baptist Church. The revival has been going since since Sunday.
Southside has a new pastor of the past couple of years, Rev. Stacy Stafford. He does a wonderful job as Pastor and ministers to the church family. Brother Stafford is growing the church and it is a loving church.
Brother Jerry Spencer came to Southside when I was a kid. He had a lady that traveled with him called Geraldine and her "dummy" Ricky. She was a ventroloquist. It was great and I still remember it today.
In later years Brother Jerry came as pastor of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. He is a dynamic man of GOD that presents GOD's message. He is a very personable man and one you will fall in love with.
Southside Baptist Church is on Cottonwood Road at Appletree Street. It is a loving church and if you want to be loved on, ministered to, and hear great delivery of GOD'S word, visit the revival of church services. Brother Stafford is down to earth, easy to talk to, and interested in the people who attend and the guests.
I grew up at Southside Baptist Church. Some loving people. The only reason I left Southside is i was raised at Southside and my wife Marsha was raised at Memphis Baptist Church. When we dated for a year I attended Memphis with her. When we married I moved my membership with Marsha to her home church. This June we will have been married for 24 consecutive years and I have been at Memphis.
I still have a love for Southside and the people there. They have a good time and eat well! My mother and step dad, Terrell McCord attended Southside. Terrell passed away and mother now has movede to an extended living and does not get to attend Southsdie. But while I am at Memphis, Southside has a special place in my heart.
To all former members, to those of you looking for a loving church family, to those looking for unconditional love, give Southside a try.
Go Wednesday and hear Brother Jerry also.
