State lawmakers could consider lottery during special session

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -


State lawmakers may soon turn to a lottery to help solve the state's budget issues.  


State Representative Craig Ford has pre-filed two lottery bills ahead of a special session. One of the bills includes casino gaming.


However, If a lottery bill passes this year, it won't help the state's current Medicaid funding crisis but it would provide a revenue stream for later years.
