State Trooper Injured after being Struck by a Car on I-59

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL (WBRC) -An Alabama state trooper is in the hospital this morning after being struck by a car on the interstate.


The trooper was injured in a wreck around 2 a.m. in the Trussville area on I-59 in a construction zone after a driver struck him after leaving the highway, according to investigators.


He was alert and was taken to UAB Hospital for treatment, where he remains.
