DOTHAN: Today I attended most of the Dothan School Board Meeting where the hearing was held for Dothan School Board Superintendent Tim Wilder.
What I saw was a sorry disorganized case of accusations. There were not complete testimony and evidence.
The accusations alone bring a cloud over Wilder that he will never overcome. It is the duty of the Dothan School Board to have substantial evidence and present conclusive evidence that an offense was committed to warrant the decision to terminate Tim Wilder. And in doing so, the termination ruins his chances of getting another job.
What is sad, for once there had been good comments coming from within the Dothan City School Board.
The hearing has been blundered from the start through today. The evidence presented was sloppy and a blunder.
HARRY WAYNE PARRISH
When Parrish was asked about executive session by WDHN Ken Curtis, the answer Parrish gave was rude and obnoxious. And it proved Ken Curtis was slow on his feet.
Curtis asked about the legality of going into executive session. Parrish said good name and character. Well, Wilder had already waived that exemption with Tim Wilder wanting the hearing open. Parrish blew that answer and Ken Curtis was not fast enough on his foot to counter the Parrish answer.
There is something that does not pass the smell test. The Board has failed the citizens they were elected to serve. But no one really expected any different.
