Mr. Steve Collins, E911 Coordinator
Hon. Mike Schmitz, Chairman of Board – E911
Mr. Clark Matthews, Chairman of E911 Advisory Committee
Dear Sirs:
Tonight I called Mr. John Parrish, President of Houston County Volunteer EMS and informed him of my resignation as their representative on the Advisory Committee of Dothan – Houston County E-911. I informed Mr. Parrish that my resignation was effective today.
Over the past several years I have learned a lot. As a team I feel that we have made some improvements which will hopefully serve the citizens and guest of Dothan – Houston County in time of emergencies. In addition some accomplishments have been made which will serve the men and women providing the emergency services in a manner to assist them in providing the needed services.
Having been raised in the emergency service field, I have a great passion for the service to others. My passion includes the customer service and availability of required services being available and dispatched promptly, without the worry of who gets the credit. My passion for the emergency field has caused me to give up some things in life that today I very much realize wish I had not.
My interest and passion has often times performed without the worry of compensation, retirement or recognition.
My resignation comes on the heels of things that need my attention. Things that being on the Advisory Board would hamper my ability to cause change in areas where service to others is not the motivation.
Thanks for your past and future support. Good luck in your endeavors.
Sincerely,
Rickey Stokes
