HOUSTON COUNTY:    The Luther Strange Grand Jury recessed on Tuesday afternoon late.

The Strange Grand Jury was chosen through the Christmas candy tin can lottery n Monday. After the Strange Grand Jury was selected, they were ushered to the third floor courtroom assigned to Circuit Court Judge Kevin Moulton. The Attorney General Prosecutors used Moulton’s Courtroom to begin their interrogation of the Houston County Commissioners, both current and former, along with Houston County Attorney Gary Sherrer.

By Alabama law the persons who testify before Grand Jury can not comment on what their testimony consisted of.

Retired Houston – Henry County Chief Assistant District Attorney Gary Maxwell and Attorney William White represented the Commissioners and County Attorney in the strange witch hunt of Luther Strange.

MY RANT!!!

Folks, Houston County Commissioner Melinda McClendon was elected this past summer. In August she took office. She has literally sit for only 6 Houston County Commission meetings. At no time since she has been in the 6 meetings has bingo been mentioned, been on the agenda and she has taken no action.

Commissioner Melinda McClendon has breast cancer. Since being on the commission she underwent a major surgery, like a 14 hour surgery.

Commissioner McClendon has been serving the people who elected her. Even on days when she did not feel well. People who saw her at Houston County Courthouse on Monday AND Tuesday said you could tell she did not feel well.

I want you to know…the Alabama Attorney General Luther Strange did not give one rats butt about Melinda McClendon or her health, and for two days and over 10 hours had to sit and wait to come before the Strange Grand Jury.

While I do not know what she was asked or testified to, and I would not dare ask her because it is against the law, but I can tell you with 90% belief I am correct, her testimony amounted to nothing what so ever in whatever witch hunt they are doing.

For the Alabama Attorney General to allow is staff to treat this LADY like they did and waste her time sitting in the Houston County Courthouse feeling awful for two days, every lady in this nation should be outraged with him. No decent American man would have done that to a lady who has and is suffering the pain Melinda is.

Understand, Melinda McClendon is doing her job and serving her people. She shares a great testimony how her fight with the cancer has allowed her a closer and intimate relationship with GOD. She shares her testimony, is a terrific lady and being a great commissioner. Her positive attitude, her positive outlook on life makes you very blessed to be in her prescence.

But the Attorney General’s Office, under the command of Luther Strange, treated her like dirt with that they did to her for no reason. It makes me want to throw up!

He is not involved with the Strange Grand Jury. This is Mountainn Brook’s native Luther Strange’s deal.
