Structure Fire on Columbia Hwy

Dothan Fire and PD were dispatched to a structure fire in the 700 block of Columbia Hwy. When the first officer arrived on scene, he made sure that all residents of the apartments were out and advised that the second floor was inaccessible to him due to heavy smoke. When fire units arrived, they quickly made entry and extinguished the fire. The fire was contained to one room in the apartments, but one apartment received smoke and some water damage. The other two apartments were saved.

Pilchers Ambulance was standing by.

Red Cross has been called and are enroute to the location.
