On February 26, 2015, at 8:00 AM, the Enterprise Police Department started an investigation regarding an Enterprise High School student in possession of a firearm on school grounds.  EPD and EHS officials interviewed witnesses who came forward and reported that a student was concealing a handgun in his backpack the previous school day(February 25, 2015).  EPD School Resource Officers, K9 Units, and EHS officials conducted a search of the suspect and school to ensure that no weapons were on campus.  During the investigation, EPD Officers discovered an air powered/BB handgun in the home of the suspect that matched the description given by the witnesses.  The juvenile was arrested and charged with Possession of a Deadly Weapon on School Grounds.
