OZARK:    STUPID - STUPID - STUPID. And one thing you can not fix is STUPID.


Sorry for the folks of Ozark Alabama, but your Oark City Council, well they need a STUPID Slap. 


Alabama State Trooper Captain Charles Ward applie for the position of Chief of Police for Ozark. Ward was the Captain of the Dothan Post of the Alabama State Troopers. He lives in Ozark.


Captain Ward had worked in the headquarters of the Alabama Department of Public Safety. He was then transferred to the Dothan Post to command this area. And the area Captain Ward manages is a large territory.


Captain Ward turned in his retirement from the Alabama Department of Public Safety. The retirement was to be able to take the Police Chief position. Being a retired State employee, Ward was only going to be able to draw a salary of $ 24,000.00 a year for the police chief job.


Well, the Ozark City Council did not select Captain Ward.


Loving law enforcement, Ward withdrew his retirement. I mean, th eonly reason he was retiring was to take the Ozark Police Chief job.


WELL GUESS WHAT


The leadership of the Alabama Department of Public Safety jumped on Ward's decision to stay.


While the Ozark City Council were not wise enough to grab Ward, the Alabama Department of Pblic Safety decided to promote Captan Charles Ward to the position of Major.


Ward will now assue command of ALL UNIFORMED ALABAMA STATE TROOPERS of the State of Alabama. All over this state.


Well, Captain - now Major Charles Ward. I am glad the leadership within the Alabama State Troopers recognized the value you have in law enforcement. The professionalism, the training, the dedication and the desire to make things better.


Major Ward congratulations on your new position.


To the Ozark City Council, just STUPID!
