STUPID SLAP to Harry Wayne Parrish and Dothan School Board Members - Two Are Lawyers

DOTHAN:    Well, I have to hand it to Harry Wayne Parrish. If anyone can mess up the hiring of a Dothan School superintendent, you can.


And Harry Wayne, the arrogance you displayed to the media when they tried to tell you it was messed up is totally uncalled for. You were rude, you were arrogant, and you were...well just a plain JERK!


Then guess what, EGG ON YOUR FACE! The media you were a rude obnoxious jerk to, well they were right.


Which now brings other issues. When you hired Tim Wilder, the vote was done in secret. That is illegal. So was Tim Wilder ever really hired. If he was not ever really legally hired, then could the board really fire him? If he was not legally fired, then Harry Wayne, you need to pay the school system the hundreds of thousands of dollars he was paid.


The Alabama Open Meetings Law is available on line. Former Alabama Attorney General Troy King prepared a manual for public officials. Harry Wayne, if you can read and understand the English language, you need to read it and comprehend what you read. Then let a educator write an exam and you and the lawyers on the board, see if you can pass the exam.


 


WHO YOU SHOULD HAVE HIRED


I realize he did not apply. And I realize he is from Dothan and you school board members do not think anyone from Dothan has walking around sense.


But you elected school board members should have hired Todd Weeks, the interim superintendent to be the School Superintendent.


I realize you think someone from Dothan is not capable. But Todd has done an outstanding job keeping the ship sailing in the Dothan City Schools. And if was not for the School Board being stupid, Weeks has done a good job.


We can give Todd a out of town address and a briefcase and pretend he is not from Dothan. That will fill your ego of hiring a foreigner from Dothan to lead the schools.
