COMMUNITY: This is a problem and it cannot be ignored. Suicide is real and is happening all to often.
This morning there was a suicide attempt. Yesterday there was an actual suicide. Last week there were suicides. During Christmas there were suicides.
CHURCHES - SCHOOLS - POLITICAL LEADERS, get your heads out of the sand. It is time, it is past time, that programs be drafted and a direct head on and blunt program be drafted targeting the prevention of suicides.
LISTEN - ALL, ALL, ALL SUICIDES ARE PREVENTABLE. The community has to be proactive and the subject is not taboo to discuss.
Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. All problems can be solved and you have to reach out for help.
Also suicides leave the families in living hell the rest of their lives. You leave you family constantly searching for answers to questions about why. What could they have done differently. And most of the time, nothing.
We also have a generation, thanks to Judges, that are not hearing about GOD. They have no eternal hope. When Judges took God out of schools, that is the place often times young people hear about God. With the judicial removal, a lot of young people never hear about GOD.
The Christian community, Rickey included, need to make special efforts to bring hope to the young community. Make them realize that death is not the answer to their problem. Life is special and each day needs to be lived enjoying the blessings that God has given us.
The community needs to get involved and address the issue, head on, about suicide.
