Suspicious Package on a Roof Shuts Down a Dothan Street

Dothan police and Dothan Fire received a call a little after 9pm about a suspicious package on a roof on Buena Vistia Drive. Dothan Police arrived on the scene and determine it was a job for the Bomb Squad. Police blocked off the road and called for more help. Buena Vistia is closed from San Juan Ct to St Thomas Ct.

The bomb squad has gotten the package down on the ground and have it in the road running test to determine what it is inside the package. Police must not believe it to be a large problem due to the fact that no evacuations other than the home where the package was found.

The Dothan Bomb Squad is made up of volunteers from the police department. They do not receive any extra money for what they do.
