Teen Killed In Washington County Crash

A 2002 Acura car was traveling southbound on State Road 77 and approaching Crystal Lake Drive. The vehicle entered a curved portion of the roadway. The driver was unable to negotiate the curved portion of the roadway causing the vehicle to leave the roadway. The vehicle then traveled onto the West shoulder of the roadway where the vehicle struck a support wire for a power pole. The vehicle had entered a clockwise rotation striking a barbed wire fence. The vehicle then traveled onto private property where the vehicle then struck a large tree. The Acura rolled onto it's roof and came to its final rest facing West. The driver of the vehicle, Chase Madison Gilligan, 17, Lynn Haven, FL, sustained fatal injuries and was prnounced deceased at the scene by attending paramedics. Corporal Jon Gordon was assigned the traffic homicide investigation and took all photos an pertinent measurements. Next of Kin was notified by the Bay County Sheriff's Department
