DOTHAN - HOUSTON COUNTY:   Dothan Mayor Mike Schmitz, Houston County Commission Chairman Mark Culver, Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce President Matt Parker, Dothan Businessmen Hayne Hollis and John Watson are amoung the few I know of that we as a community must say a great big THANK YOU to.

These gentlemen, and other's of which I do not know their names, have been not just knocking, but they have been beating some doors down working day and night to land jobs - jobs - jobs - and more jobs for the Dothan - Houston County area.

Because the areas are highly competitive with other areas, a lot, well most of what they have been doing is confidential and can not be talked about. Some of their efforts they get nibbles. Some they get major hooks in. Some they work to close the deal and get very close, and then a cog gets thrown in the wheel.

There is always the factor of, you can give some but the gif far exceedds to benefit for the area.

I am in fear of saying to much. And there is a lot they are doing and have been doing that I am not at liberty to say. However, because I keep GPS tabs on these guys and what they are doing, let me tell you...without once ounce of reservation, all of these guys and more, to include women, are working day and night trying to get more jobs in this market.

They can not disclose those efforts. They can disclose who close they are or what they might have lost in the competition. But, please take my word, these and more are working, some like Mr. Hayne Hollis and Mr. John Watson, are spending a lot of their money in order to try and get some deals closed.

THANK YOU for what you are doing and your efforts. This community, if they knew and you could tell, are and would be very happy with your efforts. They would be very happy when you finally draw the line in the sand saying we have given all we can. If you do not select us, well we tried.

All we can say is, GO! GO! GO! We are behind you.

TO THOSE WHO MIGHT READ THIS THAT ARE THINKING OF DOTHAN - HOUSTON COUNTY... you will not find the quaity people anywhere else that you find here. You will find people that will work, that will work to make you a success. And our Mayor, if he tells you it is raining, get two raincoats. And that goes for his industrial recruitment groups.

We would love to have you. But most importantly, you will love to have Dothan and Houston County for you.
