REHOBETH:    The following article your will hear the "so called" leaders and persons involved "shoot and be critical of" the messenger, me, and never hear the message and fix the problem.

TONIGHT, in Rehobeth on Highway 605, a two vehicle accident, with entrappment. At the time of dispatch it was reported to the Houston County Sheriff 911 Center patients were unconscious.

Within a very short period of time multiple Houston County Sheriff Deputies and two Alabama State Troopers were on the scene.

Houston County Sheriff Deputy Batchelor reported two patients were trapped in the vehicle.

The Houston County Sheriff 911 Center paged out Rehobeth Fire - Rescue multiple times with no response. NO response at all from the fire or the ambulance.

The Houston County Sheriff 911 Center paged out the Taylor Volunteer Fire Department with no response. No response at all. ( NOTE:  The President of the Houston County Volunteer Fire Chief Association comes out of Taylor Volunteer Fire.)

Pilcher Ambulance dispatched two Advanced Life Support Ambulances. Pilcher Ambulance also requested Wiregrass Lifeflight be dispatched.

Southern Junction Volunteer Fire Chief Matt Boster ( who also works for RSN ) responded and was the first volunteer fireman on the scene. Boster requested that Houston County Sheriff 911 Dispatcher get Dothan Fire Engine 2 ( Lakewood ) en route.

Instead of doing as instructed, the Houston County Sheriff 911 Center paged Rehobeth Fire again saying that their Engine 2 was needed ASAP. They got no answer and finally figured it the request was for Dothan Fire Engine 2. COMPREHEND - Rehobeth has already not answered.

Finally a member of Rehobeth Fire showed up on the scene. He borrowed Matt Boster's truck to go to Rehobeth Fire Station to get the fire truck with the extrication equipment and return to the scene.

The patients were extricated. One was transported by ground and one by air.

AND THIS ENTIRE INCIDENT PISSES ME OFF

First there is no legitimate reason there was no response from Rehobeth Fire and Rescue. If you are going to be in the business, you need to be equipped with manpower and equipment to answer the call. No one answering the call is UNACCEPTABLE. Either get it under control or disband.

Second there is no legitimate reason for none of Taylor Volunteer Fire to answer the call when paged. UNACCEPTABLE. And the for the President of the Houston County Volunteer Fire Association to be in the Taylor Volunteer Fire and allow such is totally UNACCEPTABLE.

We are dealing with people's lives and property. It is a awesome responsibility and task. And it is a responsibility that is 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. The volunteer agencies need to get it together or disband.

Rehobeth Rescue has been having problems. The Fire Chief is apparently to weak to put his foot down with the Rescue Captain on several issues. And several members support the Rescue Captain over the Fire Chief. And in the end, it is the people who suffer.

I am aware that dispatching is a tremendous task and in stressful situations it is hard to work under the pressure. But proper training needs to be conducted and the emergency situations handled.

When emergency responders call for assistance, the dispatcher has a duty to dispatch that assistance immediately. And tonight the dispatcher got it fowled up when Dothan was requested.

Finally some members appeared. Could not get in the station because they did not have a key to get inside.

HOUSTON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

I probably care to much about emergency services then I should. And tonight got me fired up. I probably should pretend to be one of the government leaders and on TV look as I am concerned, but when the TV cameras are not present do as the current leaders, do not give a rat's butt about people's lives and safety.

I have told the Houston County Commissioners, on multiple times over the last several years, that volunteer service was a problem. They were told more than four years ago the most important task of the Emergency Management Director was to develop a plan of how to handle fire and rescue service in Houston County. Because the days of having the volunteer service as a stand alone were getting harder to feel.

Volunteers do a good job. But life in itself has created a atmosphere where people being able to volunteer their times and energies were in a steady major decline.

Rather than listen, the Houston County Commission picked a Emergency Management Director, Steve Carlise, and staff that not only failed to address a plan in this area. They created a situation that the Dothan - Houston County Emergency Management Agency is a non functional agency that is not counted on for anything substantial for the people. The Houston County Commission has done one thing and one thing only with Emergency Management, and that is give Steve Carlisle a second government retirement.

The emergency did get handled tonight. But only after a complete and total cluster mess.

CONCLUSION

I raised sand tonight. I sent the Houston County Commissioners a group text getting on their buttocks. One Rehobeth Fireman told someone "after I left" the next time I chew on his buttocks he would whip my butt.

Mr. Rehobeth Fireman, Sir,  I am at 109 East Adams Street Dothan Alabama. Any day, any time you might get ready to whip my butt and feel froggy, drive right on up.

But I take it very serious very serious when there is a critical emergency and no one answers up to handle the emergency. I am sorry that you do not. And I am sorry the 5 Houston County Commissioners do not take it serious.

But you screwed up Emergency Management, failed at developing a plan, and headed for additional failure in Emergency Management the way you are headed. And I am going to hold you responsible.

To the people,  if I did not care about lives, and did not feel you life mattered, I would have less enemies and less stress just to pretend I was a Houston County Commissioner and just did not give a damn. Except when the TV camera was on me.

But I do give a damn about people's lives. And when I see such failures and apathy on their behalf, I get fighting mad.

MARK STERLING CULVER, Brandon Shoupe, Jackie Battles, Doug Sinquefield, Curtis Harvey, when someone dies their blood is directly on your hand.
