DOTHAN: Bail Enforcement Agents from A – Advantage Bonding went to Donna Drive after a person who failed to appear in Dothan Municipal Court. When the agents hit the house the suspect. Bobby Springfield, hit the door running.
Residents on Hedstrom Drive reported the suspect ran in their house. In fact two residents reported the suspect ran into their house.
At that point Dothan Police were called to the scene to investigate possible burglaries.
Information was then developed that two weapons were missing from the residence the suspect fled from on Donna Drive.
A Dothan Officer spotted the suspect on foot but he eluded.
Dothan K-9 Cpl. Phares and his K-9 Partner Kazan started tracking the suspect. Phares and Kazan tracked the suspect to within feet of his location.
The suspect was then apprehended in a shed within feet of where Phares and Kazan was tracking. He was hiding in a storage shed of a residence.
Bobby Springfield went from Failure To Appear on Misdemeanor Offenses in the City of Dothan Municipal Court to felonies where he will end up in Houston County Circuit Court. The felonies will be burglary offenses of residences he is alleged to have entered while in flight from apprehension on misdemeanor offenses.
The tracking by K9 Cpl. Phares and Kazan and other Dothan Officers and Bail Enforcement Agents from A – Advantage Bonding all took place in the Donna Drive, Conti Drive, Hedstrom Drive area.
There were no injuries. The suspect will be booked into Dothan City Jail on the Failure To Appear warrants and pending the investigation by Dothan Police, will possibly be charged on more offenses.
