The Chosen Ones Meet Tonight To Select OUR Sheriff

HOUSTON COUNTY:      In a few hours it will be SHOW TIME for the Houston County Republican Executive Committee.


The group of 65 to 71 people will assemble and listen to 6 men who have submitted their names and resumes for Houston County Sheriff.


Following the interviews and any specific questions from the “chosen few” of 65 to 71 persons, all persons will be removed from the room. During the removal time of the public, the “chosen ones” will discuss their thoughts and feelings on each of the 6.


Then, while everyone other than the “chosen ones” are out of the room, the 56 to 71 persons will cast their ballots by secret in who they want to be the next Houston County Sheriff.


If one person does not get 50 plus 1 of the votes of the “chosen ones” present, then they top two will re-interview. The announcement and re-interview, the public will be allowed back in the presence of the “chosen ones”.


After the re-interview, again the public will be removed from the “chosen ones” ‘room.  They will again discuss and votes in secret ballot.


Then, the public will be allowed to once again enter into the presence of the “chosen ones” and the announcement will  be made as to who the “chosen ones” have selected to be the next Houston County Sheriff.


The person who the “chosen ones” decide, will be the next Houston County Sheriff from January 2015 forward for four years.


It will be the decision of Alabama Governor Robert Bentley to decide who will be the Houston County Sheriff from August 18th through January 2015. The Governor can select any person within the United States of America to the Sheriff from August through January. He is not bound by that person being the one who the “chosen ones” select, or anyone in this state.


To be Sheriff of any county in this state, a person must be at least18 years of age.


WAIT…WAIT…you mean you can be the Sheriff of a county at age 18 but you cannot  be the Coroner of a county until age 25? RIGHT.


You can also be Sheriff of a county at age 18, and  not be able to legally drink a beer until age 21. In fact, you can be the Sheriff, command the department, be over the jail, and yet be arrested for Minor In Possession of Alcohol!!!


But there is good news, if you were the Sheriff at age 18 and arrested for minor in possession of alcohol, you are the commander of the jail. But hey…you can give the correctional officers orders while you are in jail for 4 to 8 to 24 hours!!! Or fire them when released. LOL
