I'm not a fan of Keith Gray. However, dont trash the Sergeant in this video for following an order from Keith Gray, that's part of his job. I like Rickey and agree with him on some issues. However, it seems sometimes like he just whines when things dont go his way, and this isnt really an issue to whine about. Rickey, So what if you had to move and shoot video from another location, put your ego aside and deal with it. That said, Keith Gray shouldn't be in charge of himself much less other police officers. I'm sure he will whine and cry that he discriminated against by not getting the Chief position. He is just waiting to see who they select so he can say he is more certified. Regardless of hs education, he is no Chief or role model for other officers to follow.
The big deal is Ricky is always trying to cause trouble for someone he cant control. This sight is all about his own propoganda! See how long it is before this thread is taken down because he isnt getting the reponse he wanted! A blind man can see just how big of a fool he made out of himself here. The police officer should have arrested him and put him where he belongs. I think its only a matter of time...
Im sorry but I don't see what the big deal is. The officer seemed to be rather polite compared to a few officers I have encountered. IF anything I think the officers handled it very great & maturely because the whole video it just seems like they are being antagonized & provoked !
Stephanie Martin - How much did Rickey pay you to say that? We all are enti tled to our own opinions however agreeing with Rickey's nonsense shows your childish ways also. Any of you who turns their backs on the one's that comes when you call...24-7, should be ashamed of themselves. Like the previous writer said...this is Rickey's biased (and childish)opinion he could at least try to report the information accurately...if that is possible.
i have to admit that it is nice to know what is going on around the city of dothan, but i agree MORE with nazblue5807. read that persons comment. ricky, you have your nose in to many places it shouldn't be. sometimes its not a matter of getting the news, its a matter of respect and courtesy of other families. tell your photographers THAT the next time they go to take pictures at a fire or car wreck.
I do not see anything wrong with the police telling you to stay back and the officer shouldnt comment on the fire that should be the fire department.You try to intimitate the officers and the department with your website.Let them do their job.Our department is not as corrupt as you would have people to believe.I hope we get a Chief that will stand up for the department and its officer and not bend over and take it from you.Maybe "Chief" Draughn doesnt have the strength to stand up but then again he isn't CHIEF!! Do not compare these actions to all officers. Just because one doctor is a jerk does not always mean that his partner is also. Not every chicken farmer always smells as if they just stepped out of the coop. Think about it for a second, people are all different. Attitudes are like butt holes, we all have them but some peoples stink a lot worse then others!!
I can understand why you would be pissy, my kids are too when they do not get the Snickers bar at the check out counter in a store. There was a WAY better way to handle this. If you have such a problem and feel that he [Gray] has wronged you then lodge a compliant the right way. Doing it this way makes you seem like a child who forgot his big boy panties. I personally also do not care for Gray, but I think you were wrong in the way you handle the problem. You harassed other officers that were following thier supervisor. You could have wrote the story different as so it did not sound like an attack on Gray or an episode on a soap opera. State the problem you have and do it right. Then maybe the people you want to care will take you seriously and something can be done about it.

I dont see why the officer would not let him go close enough to see what was going on as dothan residents we should be able to know what is going on in our town. that is all Rickey stokes does is let us know what the news papers does not!
Apparently the two individuals that made comments have never been on the other side of the Dothan Police Department (we do what we want to, when we want to, to whom we want to) officers. Why, is Lynn White going to investigate them? Sounds like the Fox in charge of hen houses. The Citizens of Dothan should be embarrassed by Such Proffesional Attitudes. It is about time the people of Dothan see what their tax dollars are paying for. I am really suprised at the behavior of the Officer in charge. I noticed the stripes on his sleeve. Now that's a scary thought, he supervises others. Well I'm glad I don't spend too much of my time and money in Dothan. Sounds like there are too many Cheifs and not enough indians (officers).
ricky always thinks he is right. this situation included. it sounds like they need to sort out who is in charge at such a scene...the police or fire dept. While I do agree with Ricky that there was some confusion, his normal attacks and rants are misguided and over the top as usual. I find it so amusing this site is classified as "news" by some misguided folks. The only news it serves is police and fire calls - but when Ricky veers off and attacks individuals that do not agree with his point of view (and likewise praises those that do agree with him) then it is less and less news and more and more biased opinion only. please change the site to rickystokesopinion.com And wow.....a couple of days have gone by without Ricky attacking the Governor and praising Troy King...what gives???
Wow, you have absolutely no common courtesy, why don't you just respect the police officers request, they are looking out for the safety of everyone, and therefor you should respect that, but no, you want to be a rebel and go against the police officer request, you are whats wrong with America, people like you try to be a hero, just to get a story on a house fire no matter what the police may say, you are a sniveling rat. I completely agree with "PMK". Very childish on your part. Why don't you grow up and just get back like the officer asked you. You're lucky the officer even gave you that much.. I would not have said anything and told you to leave ALL TOGETHER, If you don't want to play by the rules, DON'T PLAY AT ALL!!!!

Mr. Stokes, your comments toward Lt. Keith Gray was not only rude but down right offensive and unacceptable. Who do you think you are? You indicate on your entry page that our comments may not demean others but you have clearly done that. Lt. Gray is simply doing his job. You had/have no right to "go there" because YOU were made to follow the rules for a change. And speaking of staying on topic....you should practice what you preach! You sound like a child who if they don't get their way, they slander others. It is clear....you are the one we need to watch.
