For the homeless and those that are unsheltered, the Harbor in downtown Dothan at 320 North Foster (corner of Foster & Burdashaw), will open their facility as a warming station Saturday night, January 7th and Sunday night, January 8th.
Saturday January 7th, the doors open for warming station and check-in between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. No check-in after 9 p.m. Doors re-open at 7 a.m. and Harbor closed until the warming station check-in Sunday at 8 p.m. On Saturday January 7th, all are invited at 6 p.m. for the Harbor Worship Service, but due to the Worship service, there cannot be check-in between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Sunday January 8th, doors open for warming station and check-in between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. No check in after 9 p.m. Cots will be spread out, and a warm place for each night will be available. Snacks, coffee and drinks will also be provided.
VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED for Saturday and Sunday nights. Six positions (at least two women) needed for the 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. shift or six positions needed for each split shift time of 7 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. and 1:00 a.m. to 7 a.m. The Harbor could also use additional blankets.
