The State of Alabama is offering a new Alabama Emergency Medical Service vehicle tag, but the state is requiring that 1,000 individuals commit to buying the tag before it will be produced.
The Alabama Emergency Medical Services Association designed the tag, and says they need 1000 individuals to commit to buying the tag by May 31, 2016 for the state to manufacture the tag and make it available for purchase.
The tags cost $50, plus the standard taxes and fees when buying or renewing a tag.
The net proceeds from the tags will be used for operations, training, support of EMS functions in Alabama and meeting future needs of EMS in Alabama.
