The Three Ladies Who Run The Henry County Schooll Board Meet To Discuss Attorney Contract

HENRY COUNTY:   Three Henry County School Board Members are running the Henry County School system. And the three appear to not care what the citizens, students or staff or Henry County want or what is in their best interest.


A special school board meeting was held this past Monday. Despite the fact that two board members made it clear they could not attend. The two members, Eddie Chambers and John Cameron were clear at the last meeting they could not attend.


Workshop or meeting? That was the issue of discussion for a few minutes. The purpose of the gathering was to discuss the hiring of an OUT OF TOWN Attorney to represent the citizens of Henry County and the school board in legal issues.


Board Members Doretha Culver, Mary Wiggins and Jean Bush would have it no other way. The last meeting they had to hire Tuskegee Attorney Kathy Smith. They hired her without any written contract. Board Members Eddie Chambers and John Cameron attempted to talk common sense into the three ladies. But they would not listen.


On Monday they ladies discussed the contract, after they hired her the week before. The fine citizens of Henry County will send the Henry County money to Tuskegee in the amount of $ 6,000.00 as a retainer fee.


The fine citizens of Henry County will send $ 170.00 per hour for services the Tuskegee attorney does against the $ 6,000.00 retainer fee. The fine citizens of Henry County will employ the Tuskegee Attorney for a period of 5 years, for a total base amount of $ 30,000.00 plus for her services.


At the end of 5 years the fine citizens of Henry County will renew the contract automatically unless the board or attorney gives notice of cancellation.


Because this was a work session, the board will meet and bind the citizens of Henry County to the out of town contract attorney for 5 years.


Apparently Mary Wiggins, Dorethea Culver and Jean Bush do not feel any attorney in the area, especially no Henry County attorney, is capable of representing the school board in legal matters.


Both Eddie Chambers and John Cameron feel different. But, the three ladies are running the show and it is their way with no regard for the Henry County citizens, students or workforce.


WHERE DOES DORETHA CULVER LIVE?


Where does Doretha Culver live? She has refused publically to answer the question. The Alabama State School Supt. Dr. Bice sent her a letter. Information is that she lives in Ozark ( Dale County ) Alabama and not in Henry County. She was asked at the last school board meeting and refused to publically answer.


So where does she live?
