DOTHAN: AT 8:10 AM Dothan Fire is on the scene of a structure fire at 1035 Third Avenue. The first engine on the scene, Engine 4 ( Southside ) reported a brick house, smoke inside the residence. Multiple Dothan Fire Engines responded and are on the scene.
Dothan Fire has a very hot source around the electrical box, some 200 degrees in the walls. Dothan Fire is exploring if that is the cause of the smoke inside the residence.
No active fire just active smoke inside.
Dothan Utilities have been called to the scene. Pilcher Ambulance is on stand by.
An electrical smell can be smelt across the street and smoke haze can be seen coming from the residence.
Third Avenue and Selma Street are closed at this time.
Dothan Fire Marshall Chris Etheredge is on the scene. The on call Fire Marshall has been dispatched to the scene.
