Timothy Offet, 62, a resident of Dothan passed away April 23, 2015 at his residence.


Memorial services will be held Monday, May 4, 2015 at 2pm in Southside Baptist Church, Cottonwood Road, Dothan, Al 's with Rev. Stacy Stafford officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.


Timothy was born May 27, 1952 in Kalamazoo, Michigan and he was a 1970 graduate of Wayne High School. He resided in Angola, Indiana for several years and was employed with the State of Indiana before moving to Dothan in 1997. Since Timothy moved to Dothan he was employed with Alabama Electric and Higgins Electric. He was an avid hunter and golfer and was a member of the National Rifle Association and Southside Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his brother, William Offet.


Survivors include his wife, Diane Powell Offet; his son, Matthew (Molly) Offet; his daughter, Sarah Word; his step-children, Scott (Sonia) Jensen, Jeff (Brandy) Jensen and Keith Jensen; his grandchildren, Gabrielle Jensen, Andrew Offet, Shelby Jensen, Megan Jensen, Mason Baker, Lane Word, Grant Baker, Alec Jensen and Owen Offet; his parents, Lois and Rodger Offet; his mother-in-law, Neva Hollis Alley; his sisters, Sue (Bruce) MacKenzie, Ruth Bliss, Sandra Artis and Julie Beardon; his brother, Joel Offet; many beloved nieces and nephews.
