To All Of The Houston County Workforce - THANK YOU Celebration Hosted By Commission

HOUSTON COUNTY:  Tonight 350 plus of the Houston County workforce and their spouses came together to the Houston County Farm Center to enjoy a time of some great food.

The Houston County Commission several years ago set aside some funds in order to provide a time to bring the workforce together to say THANKS for all you do.

The senior Commissioner, District 4 Curtis Harvey, knew of the fund and discussed the matter with all members of the Houston County Commission to include Chairman Culver. After Commissioner Harvey’s discussion, all of the commissioners were excited and said...LET’S DO IT!!!

Several asked area sponsors to assist with door prizes and tonight the party was held. The Houston County workforce enjoyed some great HUNT’s Cooking by Tim Reeves and the crew. They enjoyed some fellowship with each other and members of other departments they did not know. The workforce also enjoyed some door prizes.

All Houston County Commissioners and Chairman Culver were on hand for the celebration. Houston County Administrator Bill Dempsey was not able to attend because of a death in his family today. We wish him well and he and his family will be in our prayers.

To the men and women of the Houston County workforce...each department which consists of around 400 people, THANKS for all you do.
