DALE COUNTY:    Would the voters of Dale County please get the attention of Dale County Dynamic Duo.

Who is the Dynamic Duo/ Dale County Commission Chairman Mark Blakenship and his side kick, Wes Strickland.

These two men have done more to destroy the morale of the Dale County Sheriff Department than any two single people. And perhaps the entire workforce of Dale County.

The latest is the Blakenship/Strickland complaints over the feeding of inmates. The State pays $ 1.75 per day to feed inmates. The municipalities over the county pay $ 15.00 per day to house the inmates. Blakenship/Strickland want part of the money. Yet, they do not want part of the expenses in feeding the inmates.

Blakenship/Strickland have constantly been on Sheriff Olson and members of the Department. Every move Sheriff Olson makes, the dynamic duo has been critical. They have attempted to control who drives what cars, why the Sheriff has this or that. Been critical over the air unit which was started before Olson became Sheriff.

Blakenship/Strickland have destroyed the morale of the fine men and women of the Dale County Sheriff Department, and perhaps the other workforce of the county.

Had Blakenship wanted to be Sheriff and have Strickland as Chief Deputy, then he should have run. But he wanted to be Commission Chairman and Strickland wanted to be the Blakenship puppet.

The Office of Sheriff is independent of the commission. The commission has a duty to fund the department, but has zero management over the Sheriff Department or their staff.

That is a concept the Blakenship/Strickland duo can not comprehend. The only way to get the point across is for the voters to put the size 12 shoe in the butts of Blakenship and Strickland.

Olson and members of the Dale County Sheriff Department, there are only 19 of them to cover from Geneva County line to the Barbour County line, from the Houston County line to the Coffee/Pike County line. There are 19 in the department for all divisions, Patrol/Investigation/Vice/Administration. When duty calls, they all have to roll. The department has to be prepared to react in seconds, all over the county.

But Olson and members of the department spend more of their time defending themselves and critical emails from Blakenship/Strickland. Defending themselves with the Dynamic duo talking bad about them.

Olson and department proved to the people of Dale County and the surrounding counties, they can manage emergencies. When faced with the brutal murder of the Dale County School bus driver, the kidnapping and hostage underground of the child, Olson and the department managed that scene and operation. Yes they had help, but Olson and his department were hands on in control.

And yet handled the other law enforcement business of Dale County.

VOTERS, please shut Blakenship/Strickland up. Tell the dynamic duo to but out of the Dale County Sheriff Department and leave them alone.
