Tommy Bice Should Be Ashamed, Throw Him Out With Mark Fuller

Alabama Superintendent of Education Dr. Tommy Bice recently was awarded a 26 percent pay raise.  He now makes $250,000 per year--that's a quarter of a million dollars.  The school board approved the hike even though two board members voted against it.  Thank you Betty Peters and Stephanie Bell. 

Bice first said he didn't know if he would take the raise. He had to thank about it.  He did--for a few hours.  We know what he did and he did it all with blessings of our governor.  Never mind our teachers haven't had raises in a long time.  Never mind they don't have ample supplies for the classroom.  Never mind that families are struggling to make ends meet.  Never mind if Tommy Bice is a greedy  old man.  Just never mind.

However, the thing that is the worst about all this is Bice won't talk about the raise. Never mind its our dollars paying him.  Never mind that the public is responsible for him having that job--did we say it pays $250,000 annually?  Never mind that he has an obligation to talk because he IS a public figure.

So, what did greedy Tommy do when he was asked in Dothan about the raise?  NOT TALK ABOUT IT. Took off the microphone and walked away.

We've got a superintendent taking big pay raises while the people that work under him struggle to put food on the table.  We've got a federal judge smacking around his wife. It's time for both to go.  But they won't--they'll continue taking OUR money and making a mockery of the people whose dollars they spend.  Throw them both to the curb.
