HOUSTON and HENRY COUNTY:    Looking at cases docketed in Houston and Henry County for Monday and Tuesday. Taking a specific look at traffic violations.

As you know, Troopers are more revenue agents than law enforcement.

Speed: 31 @ $ 210.00 each means State Revenue of $ 6510.00

Driving While Suspended: 1

Driving While Revoked: 1

Open Container: 1

DUI: 2

Failure to Wear Safety Devices: 3

No Child Restraint: 1

Failure to Display Insurance: 3

No Tag Displayed: 1

Improper Muffler; 1

Improper Lane Change 1

No Driver License: 1

Henry County, traffic cases docketed Monday and Tuesday:

Driving While Suspended: 1

Operating Vehicle with no Insurance: 1

Open Container: 1

Speeding: 29 @ $ 210.00 each means State Revenue of $ 6090.00

Fail To Register Vehicle: 1

No Insurance: 5

Driving While Suspended: 1

Driving While Revoked: 2

Fail To Wear Safety Devices: 2

Move Over Law: 1

Improper Lane Change: 1

DUI: 1

Blue Light Law: 1

Running A Red Light: 1    ( In Henry County 5 on four lane in entire county!!! )

Just in Houston and Henry County, not counting Headland, Dothan, Abbeville, Cottonwood, Ashford, Taylor, Kinsey, $ 12,600.00 in fines sucked out of pockets just for speeding only.

But, the State of Alabama and court system are BROKE!!!

NOTE:  The courts and law enforcement does not get all of this money.
