DOTHAN POST – A two-vehicle crash today, July 28, claimed the life of a Red Level woman and injured another.  May Godwin Thornton, 50, of Red Level was killed when the 2011 Toyota Camry she was driving  collided head-on with a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado. Thornton was pronounced dead at the scene.  The driver of the Chevrolet, Othello Taliaferro, 77, also of Red Level, was transported to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries. The crash occurred at 11 a.m. on U.S 84 at the 119.8 mile marker.  Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
