On 2-23-14 at approximately 11:45 p.m. a Deputy with the Uniformed Patrol Division of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a silver Infinity SUV on Hannah St. in the City of Marianna after the driver failed to stop at the intersection of Old Cottondale Rd and Orange St.
The lone passenger of the vehicle, Ty’east Tytianna Pinder, was seated behind the driver and could not provide identification. The name that Pinder provided (Tierra Brown) could not be confirmed through the Florida driver’s license database. After being warned about the consequences of giving a false name, she repeated the name previously given.
After being warned about giving a false name a second time, Pinder attempted to flee on foot. She was quickly subdued and after a brief struggle, taken into custody.
During the subsequent investigation Officers learned that the female was on Community Control (House Arrest) and is not permitted to leave her residence without express permission from her Probation Officer. She was lodged in the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance.
The Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Marianna Police Department.
