The 2015 Azalea Dogwood Queen, Princess and Maid of Honor, will join Dothan’s Mayor Mike Schmitz in the ribbon cutting ceremony beginning at 1:50 p.m. on the corner of Woodland and Main Street. The Trail draws hundreds of visitors from across the Southeast to view the beauty of spring in
Following the ribbon cutting, the Queen and her court will lead the entourage of cars atop their Corvettes provided by the Circle City Corvette Club. Lovely young ladies dressed in antebellum gowns will grace the lawns of the seven-mile winding trail. The Queen and her court will greet visitors at the trail’s end point – the home of Brent and Elizabeth Cook located at 115 Girard Avenue. Anyone is welcome to ride the trail after 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 29th, but please do not turn into the driveway of the Cook’s home at 115 Girard Avenue after 4:20 p.m.
The Azalea Dogwood Festival is sponsored annually by the City of Dothan and the National Peanut Festival.
