UPDATED On May 27. Troy WALMART Evacuated Awaiting EOD Team From Opelika

TROY:    Troy Police and Troy Fire are on the scene of WALMART where a suspicious package was found on the outside of the building.


The package has caused WALMART to be closed and everyone evacuated from the store. Law Enforcement and Fire are awaiting the EOD Team from Opelika to respond to send the robot to the package to check it out.


No one is allowed near the building at this time.


As more information develops we will update.

Law Enforcement and Fire have cleared the scene and Troy WalMart is now open. Dothan Police Bomb Team responded and assisted Troy Fire and Troy Police.

The item was a empty cooler. It only contained air. The cooler was broken and apparently left as trash outside WalMart.
