Two Arrested on Drug Charges

On February 2, 2012 the Dothan Police Department Narcotics Unit conducted an investigative traffic stop of a suspicious vehicle on Montgomery Highway. During the course of the investigation, both occupants were detained after police found a small amount of cocaine. As the investigation continued, police served a search warrant at a hotel room in the 2100 block of Montgomery Highway in conjunction with the traffic stop.  In the room, police located a plastic bag containing cocaine. Narcotics investigators collected the evidence and charged both suspects with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance.  

 

 

 

·        Ricardo Bennett, black male, 29 years of age, of Midland City, Alabama was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with a $30,000 bond.

 

·        Cornelius Macon, black female, 24 years of age, of Montgomery Highway was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with a $30,000 bond.
