Two Arrested on Trafficing Charges in Houston County

On January 22, 2015 the Houston County Sheriff’s Office charged, Ashley Adina Shavers a 24 year old female of Headland, Al and Jeffery Ryan Barnett a 25 year old male of Cowarts, Al. with Trafficking Controlled Substance with a bond of 150,000.00 set both individuals and Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (methamphetamine) with a $15,000.00 bond set for both.


          The Houston County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 56 Eastgate Dr. Cowarts, Al. and recovered approximately 476 grams of synthetic marijuana with a street value of $1,700.00 and a small amount of methamphetamine which led to the arrest of Ashley Shavers and Jeffery Barnett.  


          The Houston County Sheriff’s Office investigation is still on-going and additional charges may be forthcoming.
