Two Eufaula People Charged with Theft of Property

On October 24, 2014 the Dothan Police Department responded Dillards department store, located at 900 Commons Drive, in reference to a theft in progress complaint.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with the suspects, Donna Dempsey and Latasha Barnett outside of the business. They were both found to be in possession of over $600.00 in merchandise taken from the business and arrested shortly after. Both have been charged with second degree theft of property.
- Latasha Marie Barnett, black female, 31 years of age, of Eufaula, Alabama was arrested and charged with second degree Theft of Property. A bond amount has been set $10,000.00.
- Donna Elaine Dempsey, white female, 36 years of age, of Eufaula, Alabama was arrested and charged with second degree Theft of Property. A bond amount has been set $10,000.00.
All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
