Two People Charged with Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied Dwelling

On 02/27/2017 Patrol Units were dispatched to the 3000 block of Flynn Road in reference to shots being fired. Units arrived on the scene and detained several individuals.
The investigation revealed that 2 individuals were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated and both subjects retrieved a firearm and exchanged several shots at each other. No one was injured.
Investigators have arrested and charged 27 year old Samuel Earl Merritt Jr, of Flynn Road, with Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied Dwelling.
Investigators have arrested and charged Sterling Andrew Marshall, of Flynn Road, with Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied Dwelling.
Bond has been set at $30,000. All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
