Two Seriously Injured In Walton County Crash

A 2004 Mazda 6 and a 2010 Harley Davidson were traveling westbound on State Road 20. The Harley was stopped waiting to turn left into the Oasis Lounge parking lot. The Mazda was approaching from the rear and collided into the rear of the Harley with the left front of the Mazda. The mazda then traveled onto the North shoulder of the roadway and collided into a fire hydrant. The driver of the Mazda, Thomas C. Waltz, 43, of Niceville, Florida, was seriously injured in the crash. The passenger of the Harley, Lisa M. Hoffmeyer, 45, of Daytona Beach, Florida, was also seriously injured in the crash. The driver of the Harley escaped the crash with minor injuries. The crash is under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
